Can you imagine feeling like a prisoner with limited access to the outside world because you are unable to safely enter and exit your home? We hear this story over and over again as we travel throughout the Eastern Shore of Maryland reaching out to those referred to us by local agencies skilled in assessing physical and financial need.
As the only organization providing critical home repair to low income residents in the lower four counties of Maryland, we are very proud of that we have been able to help hundreds of our neighbors. This has only been accomplished because donors, sponsors, volunteers, case managers and local jurisdictions have worked together to help our fellow citizens.
Recently we were able to help Miss Bounds in Salisbury. "There was no way for me to get out.", said Miss Bounds. "I am grateful to everyone involved for their hard work and dedication to building the ramp for me. I have my independence back."
